These are unprecedented times. Dare I say the Covid-19 pandemic has affected many, many global citizens. Around the world some people are mandated quarantined while others chose to self-quarantine for the sake of their health and communities. Most non-essential businesses are closed, and that means most store, shop, studio, and gym doors are shut. For many, routines are disrupted, but that doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your physical health.
It’s time to be innovative and use technology to your advantage! I’m here to share how to stay active during self-quarantine. Good news, it’s totally doable and fun! So far I’ve done a handful of at-home workouts that I’d like to share with you!
LIVE STREAMED YOGA
Down Dog Yoga is offering FREE LIVE yoga classes which are awesome! I’ve already taken two of their classes. They film at their studio with a live class. About 4-6 people are in the class with a yoga instructor leading the group. A few cameras are set up so you get different angles, and the instructor is super motivational, and knowledgeable. The instructors make you feel included and address the viewers so you feel you are a part of the class, except you are in your own space. I highly suggest checking it out! ALO MOVES
ALO’s home yoga studio is now offering a 14 day free membership! I have definitely taken advantage. They offer yoga, fitness, mediation, & sound bath classes and other awesome videos with great teachers. You take a short quiz and you get custom recommendations based on your requests and interests. They also have it available to play on their app or Apple TV! You can pick from beginner to advance classes and they offer 15-60 minute classes! They truly have something for everyone. During times like these it’s really important to stay healthy and remain active!
IG LIVE FITNESS CLASSES
Energi Studios is offering free IG LIVE fitness classes everyday at 11 am starting 3/23/20 with curated instructors and surprise guests to make it that much more special! I personally am on Instagram way too much, so it’s really convenient for me to tune in via IG LIVE. I can easily set up my phone anywhere and lay out my yoga mat. I’ve taken Ally Berlin’s BODY class digital so far, and she offers up a great booty/body toning class. You will be sure to break a sweat and wake-up the next day sore. It’s a good thing!
