My family goes to Hatteras Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina as our family reunion tradition ever since I was born. Hatteras is the last beach on the barrier island and is very local and remote. You can ride through town on your bike or golf cart and there aren’t a lot of tourists. My extended family rents beach front houses that are all in the same vicinity and have the best time drinking wine, working on puzzles, eating delicious food, and simply enjoying each others company. The beach is typically hot and windy, so you have to pick the right outfits. I found amazing rompers from the e-commerce retailer Tobi that were perfect for the beach. A white dress/romper is a necessity at the beach, because it will totally bring out your tan! I also wore a strapless romper that was so comfortable, and a black jumpsuit for when we went out to dinner. I hope you enjoyed my beach looks!
Speaking about beach looks and family traditions, it reminds me of another remarkable beach destination: the gateway to the Whitsundays in Australia. Much like Hatteras Island, the Whitsundays offer a unique blend of natural beauty and family-friendly experiences. Imagine your family enjoying pristine beaches, exploring the stunning coral reefs, and basking in the tropical sun.
The Whitsundays provide a gateway to some of Australia’s most iconic experiences, including sailing around the Great Barrier Reef and visiting the world-famous Whitehaven Beach, known for its powdery white sands and crystal-clear waters. It’s a destination that encourages bonding, relaxation, and creating unforgettable moments, much like your beloved Hatteras Island tradition.
