Are you ready to try 30 minute customized facials at Glowbar? Well first, have you ever had a facial? You might be asking yourself, what is a facial? I have had several different types of facials and they are all different! I’ve undergone every kind of treatment that has to do with hydration, exfoliation, extractions, micro-current, LED light therapy, cryo-therapy, facial peels, cleansing serums, enzyme therapy, collagen masks, vitamin-c serums, etc. the list goes on!
A professional facial is a skincare treatment/procedure for your face using salon or medical grade products/devices all with the goal of cleaning, hydrating and making your skin more beautiful. They can also be used to treat and prevent skin problems or hardships such as dryness, rosacea, blemishes, uneven skin tone, wrinkles, scars etc. Typically they can range from $150- $1,200 and are about 60-90+ minutes long. In short they are expensive and take a long time, which not everyone can afford.
I recently discovered Glowbar, a new skincare salon that is disrupting the spa industry. They offer 30 minute customized facials at Glowbar starting at $55 for a monthly membership. Membership includes below:
Membership Perks
- One treatment per month
- Additional treatments in the same month for membership price
- 10% off retail product
- 1 guest pass per year to share with family or friends
- Access to exclusive events and perks
- Tell a friend and you both get $10
For all my friends who ask me where to get a facial I recommend starting at Glowbar as an introduction to the facial world. It’s a stepping stone if you’ve never had a facial and want to dabble with starting to take care of your skin specifically your face. You don’t have to make a huge time or money investment.
My Experience
Don’t be late! As your Glowbar appointment is only 30 minutes you should arrive on time. You don’t want to miss any minute of your facial! Overall, I had a great experience for what I paid for. The salon is clean, and beautifully designed.
First you check in. Next you start by cleansing and washing your own face as the first step of the facial. This is to ensure you can make the most out of your 30 minutes with the esthetician. Then you get called up and enter into a room closed by a curtain. You chat with your skincare professional about what you would like to focus on and their recommendations for your specific skin type. If you don’t know it’s okay! They will guide you and assess your skin needs!
When I went we did a LED Light therapy with a light acid peel, and hydration treatment using professional grade serums, moisturizers and products. Next time I’ll probably do extractions, which are my favorite. I don’t know why it’s always so satisfying to get all my black heads out.
I’m excited that there is a skincare facial option out there that is affordable for people on a regular basis. Because, although many people believe skincare is a luxury it should really be accessible to the masses. I believe Glowbar is the solution!
If you want to try it out, say I referred you and we both get $10 off! BTW if you’re not ready to commit to $55/month you can drop in for a one time appointment for $65!
Let me know what you think if you decide to try customized facials at Glowbar!
