Every year I go to the Outer Banks, in North Carolina, for my family reunion on my Dad’s side of the family. We typically only see each other once a year so it’s a pretty important gathering. My aunts, uncles, and cousins come from all over the country. We are all spread out so it’s really nice that we can all travel to Hatteras Island every year no matter what. It’s a very special vacation not only because my family has been going for more than 30 years, but it’s a beautiful place that is safe from globalization and not as commercialized as other well known beach towns in the country. It’s truly my haven.
While I was there I decided to film a short video which captures my passion for the location. It’s truly summer vibes. I hope you can all manage to travel and visit Hatteras Island at one point in your lives. It’s the last beach on the OBX, so it’s quite hard to get to. We drove about 8 hours from D.C. but the time flies by when you’re in good company. I hope you enjoy my short music video!
