Trend Alert! The satin feeling leopard print midi skirt is huge on the streets of New York City. I myself have bought one, just because I’ve seen it everywhere. I of course also just genuinely love the style, but are leopard print midi skirts here to stay?
Animal prints can be used as a neutral and I would consider as timeless and ageless. Your grandmother down to your little cousin is probably wearing leopard print in some kind of way. Whether that be a bikini or neckerchief.
There are so many ways to wear the latest leopard print midi skirt trend and it doesn’t have to be just a leopard print btw. I’ve seen zebra, cheetah, dots, etc. They range from all price points but you can definitely find an animal print satin feeling midi skirt that suits you.
Trends Are Trends
So hop on the bandwagon! I’m not ashamed to be wearing something that everyone else is wearing, because I genuinely like it! I am inspired by the streets of New York and will continue to gain shopping tips from it. I hope that my style tips also help give you inspiration from the comfort of your own home. I tell ya, NYC living can be a little brutal. Sometimes I wish I lived in the quiet clean suburbs with a yard. But for now, I’ll keep chugging along!
One of my favorite ways to style an animal print midi skirt is with a vintage band t-shirt! It’s so easy, effortless and casual. A big point of controversy is whether or not you have to know the band to wear the t-shirt. I myself am terrible with names in general so I can’t tell you off the bat what songs a band sings, but I would probably recognize the song if I heard it.
One time…
It was funny, I was wearing a band t-shirt to work and some random man in the elevator started talking to me about the concert he went to and his favorite song. I just nodded my head and laughed…My friends also like to call me out for not memorizing the song names, but hey can’t I just wear it because I like the graphic?! Listen, no pressure from me to know the song or band of any t-shirt you wear. Who says you have to be a groupie!?
Anyhow, to spice up the look throw on some gold layered necklaces. I’m wearing a necklace from Ettika that’s unfortunately sold out, but they have a ton of similar gold layered necklaces on Nordstrom. I recently wore thong flip flops while running around in the city and tore up my feet…so I’m sticking with Birkenstock sandals for the rest of the summer.
Whenever I want to look extra I just throw on a hat as a completer to my outfit. It always makes me look that much more put together. Trust me…throw on a hat and all of a sudden you’re the stylish one.
