Dr. Smood just recently launched in New York City this past year and I’m so excited to introduce you to this fast casual organic cafe that caters to on-the-go health conscious people! Low and behold you now have options! It’s so easy and convenient; I often stop by there after the gym to grab a white coffee, or power kale salad.
I recently partnered with Dr. Smood to host a VIP Blogger Brunch to get a taste of their healthy, kosher, non-GMO, and organic menu. Over brunch we learned that there’s a real science behind their menu to promote health, energy, immunity and beauty, to name a few. They don’t use lactose in any of their products, which is amazing for me because I’m lactose intolerant. I’m obsessed with their non-dairy yogurt, and gluten free bagel with vegan cream cheese, which is very filling! They come up with the most unique recipes using “super-food” ingredients like turmeric, chia seeds, and salmon for maximum nutritional benefits.
It’s simple, when you eat good, you feel good. I’m becoming more and more health conscious over the years and that’s why I am so interested in learning about Dr. Smood’s vision. Christian Nimand Jansen, the head of nutrition at Dr. Smood, was there to teach us all about how certain foods effect your mood and body. We learned there’s no Dr. Smood, it actually stands for “Smart Food”! We had so much fun tasting the breakfast and lunch options, and sipping flavorful juices. I’m inspired to keep learning and caring about what I put in my body. It’s a mental mindset. You need to change the way you think about food, and think about the nutritional value of every single thing you put into your body. Just some food for thought.
